Thermostatic Radiator Valves save you money on energy bills
Most Radiators within homes are fitted with a manual valve, even though you can stop the flow of hot water to the radiator; you cannot control the heat. Manual valves are less energy efficient as you may be wasting heat that is not really neccessary.
Fitting a TRV (Thermostatic Radiator Valve) allows you to control the temperature of your Radiators allowing you to be more energy efficient. You are able to change the temperature of each radiator in each room within your home.
The TRV senses temperature within the air, if the radiator is reaching the set temperature it will close down the flow of hot water through the radiator to cool it down to keep the room at the required temperature.
TRV’s do not control the boiler settings just the heat output of the Radiator.
